Good News has finally arrived for AT&T subscribers as the Android Lollipop 5.0 update for the Samsung Galaxy S5is being rolled out for the device.
As Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are brewing tension among those who are itching to get their hands on Samsung's latest offering in the market, those who own their predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S5, has finally received the new OS.
Probably the Samsung's greatest boasting in the smartphone landscape is scheduled to arrive today, April 10. Considering the reviews, it seems that Samsung has once again proven that it has not run out of innovation. The S6s will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box and are expected to achieve phenomenal sales among its affiliated carriers, reported Tech Times.
It's unfortunate that all the major carriers in the United States have already received the update before AT&T's release. However, the long wait is finally over as the carrier officially announced the update as well as the summary:
"AT&T released a software update for the Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900A) on April 8, 2015. The update is available to customers to download via Firmware Over The Air (FOTA). Wi-Fi is required for the update and the file size is 1.4 GB."
A good and stable internet connection is required since the update will be over the air. Galaxy S5 users must also ensure that their device's battery level is at least 50% to avoid update interruption. Manual download can be done by going to the phone's 'Settings'>>About device>>Software update.
Last year was not so friendly with Samsung with the obvious sales failure for their Galaxy S5, reported BGR. Fortunately for their latest flagship, it's making uncontrollable rave in various reviews, definitely a good indication that they will do very well with Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
