'Deus Ex: Mankind' Set in 2029, to feature futuristic setting, and surprising new wrinkle for bosses

Fans who have long been waiting for the latest "Deus Ex" game will be glad to know the latest installment has been given the greenlight, and just like the most recent release, the newest game will be set inside the world of the future.

It's not simply just a futuristic style world, as this newest setting will also feature a cyberpunk aesthetic for gamers to explore. In addition to the general aesthetic of the new world, the planned setting for "Deus Ex: Mankind" will also feature a population which is split into two different camps, according to Gamerant.

In one of the two camps, players will find augmented humans who have mechanical implants allowing them to further enhance the natural talents they already possess. Also found in this camp are the people whi support the augmented humans.

In the other camp, players will find humans rights activists who are fervently against the rise of the latter camp, and who claim that those who have chosen to alter themselves are going against what nature intended.

Caught in the middle of the two camps is the game's protagonist, Adam Jensen. His mission is to eliminate those from the augmented humans camp who are intent on killing those who oppose them in the human camp. The game will also be set in the year 2029, according to Film Games Etc.

Aside from the unique setting of the game, "Deus Ex: Mankind" will also feature bosses who are "ghostable," according to Stevivor. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, a "ghostable" boss means players can simply bypass killing him/her and still be able to complete and finish the game.

"Deus Ex: Mankind" will also be running on the Dawn Engine, the proprietary game engine for the title's developer, Eidos Montreal. The game will be available on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and the PC.
