Rise of the Tomb Raider receives new updates, however it does not seem much but leaves players to look forward on the upcoming game. As of the moment, the release date is yet to be announced though it is expected to be around the fourth quarter of 2015. In the meantime, a series of features have been publicized which teases players on the possible features that will add flavor to the overall gameplay.
Latest updates of the game suggest that not only graphics are being worked on but as well as the realism of the environment specifically the weather systems. The game will feature having both day and night time and is vital since animals will be coming out on certain periods of the day.
Additionally, the game will mostly revolve around the snow-blanketed region of Russia, in the environment, animals will be leaving footprints in the snow to make hunting more realistic. There will also be added snow effects including avalanches and crumbling ice walks to create an adrenaline-filled gameplay.
However, there is more to look forward since there will also be a place called the "Oasis" that will have a warmer environment. Though, further details about the terrain is yet to be unraveled. Other locations being teased are dusty landscapes, dense forests, and underwater caverns in which no specific details are being produced.
In terms of character updates, Lara will be having multiple bows which can be upgraded. Also, the game will feature a traumatized version of the main character that will depict her as somewhat broken and at the edge of breaking point opening possibilities of great plot twists and variation to the game. Additionally, being perfect and having super-hero like characteristics would break the great things that were established in the previous game.
As of the moment, there is more to unravel considering that it is still going to be long before its release. Furthermore, the developers are yet to develop a version for other platforms since it is going to be exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360.
