Another mutant is added to X-Men Apocalypse roster of superheroesand about to be featured in the upcoming movie. Olivia Munn is recently announced to be joining the cast of the film as Psylocke. She will be joining Angel and Jubilee in the recently added characters in the upcoming movie.
Olivia Munn's character Psylocke possesses telepathic powers similar to that of Jean Grey. But since Jean Grey is a teenager in the film, Psylocke will most likely mentor the young Grey to harness and control her powers. Bryan Singer was the one who announced Olivia Munn's inclusion in the movie via his Instagram account. Munn will play as Betsy Braddock, a Japanese ninja.
Angel will be played by Ben Hardy while Lana Condor is casted as the young Jubillee. Ben Hardy was already rumored to be playing a very vital role in the upcoming film. It was earlier presumed that he will play as Cyclops. Later on the character of X-Men Apocalypse was also tagged with the actor. It was announced just recently along with a comic art of the character Angel that Hardy will be the one who will represent the role.
Bryan Singer remains to be the director of the film. The possibilities of directing another X-Men movie without actors Hugh Jackman who plays the role of Wolverine and Jennifer Lawrence who portrays Mystique is placing the director in a very stressful situation. Hugh Jackman has already spilled that Wolverine 3 might be the last time he will be playing the role. Jennifer Lawrence on the other hand announced her intentions to drop her Mystique character in the movie. The two actors are considered as the icons for the Marvel characters.
It would definitely be a challenge for Singer to introduce a new Wolverine and Mystique that will be embraced by the followers and fans of the movie franchise. Fortunately, Lawrence will still reprise her role in the film. Hugh Jackman's involvement in the movie remains to be unconfirmed.
Olivia Munn will join Ben Hardy, Lana Candor, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in the "X-Men Apocalypse" movie slated with a May 27, 2016 release.
