Cote de Pablo, who is popularly known for her role as Ziva on "NCIS," revealed details on bidding the show farewell and moving on to a brand new role on the CBS two-part miniseries, "The Dovekeepers."

"I would have liked a bit of closure. But all in all, I could not be more blessed, because I got a chance to be with my love, Michael [Weatherly]," said de Pablo on leaving "NCIS," wrote She Knows.

She admitted that she felt "amazed and humbled" by the outpour of messages from fans who were heartbroken when she announced her departure from the show. She also revealed that her family came over when she finished filming her last episode on "NCIS" because they knew that she had to go through this "tough transition." The actress hinted that there could be a Tiva reunion on the show, especially when she left without the writers killing off her character.

"Under the right circumstances, it would be something that could definitely be explored," teased de Pablo. She also spoke of her new series "The Dovekeepers." She said that the story is about love and hope, which is one that almost everyone can relate to.

In an interview with CBS News, de Pablo admitted that the show made her cry.

"By page 24 I was sobbing. I just thought it was so beautiful, you know," she recounted while she was filming a scene in Greece. De Pablo will also star in the Chilean movie, "The 33," a movie about the 2010 Copiapo mining accident, where she plays the role of a pregnant woman (Jessica Vega) married to a miner, Mario Casas (Alex Vega).

"The Dovekeepers" stars Diego Boneta, Kathryn Prescott, Rachel Brosnahan, and Sam Neill. The series is produced by Mark Burnett together with his wife, Roma Downey.
