Even before hitting the WWDC for its official launch, a revamped version of Apple's Music app shows up through the iOS 8.4 Beta.
A brand new interface of Apple's Music app will welcome users when the next iOS 8.4 update will come out, peppered with the all-new Beats Music streaming feature. Screenshots have been provided by Apple on how will the next Music app will look like across all iPhone users.
Forecast to be a good Spotify competitor, hopes are high for Apple that many iPhone users will sign up for the feature. According to analysts, the tech giant may be offering a $9.99 a month streaming music service for individuals and a $14.99 plan for families. In May 2014, the tech giant brought Beats Music for $3 billion.
Apple boasts Beats Music will offer tunes that can never be streamed anywhere else. In a report, Apple has its fingers crossed to score exclusive deals with musicians. Aside from Spotify and Youtube, Jay Z's Tidal is also rocking the music app department for exclusive contracts with popular artists. Tidal makes a tough Beats Music competitor due to the fact it is co-owned by chart-topping artists like Beyonce, Rihanna and Alicia Keys.
Tidal offers $9.99 a month for a standard subscription, with a special high-fidelity stream offered for $19.99 a month. Here's the Apple changelog of the new features added to the Music app:
All-new design. Users can customize playlists by adding own image and description. The Artists view has more stunning pictures of popular artists. It allows playing an album right from the album list.
Recently added. Albums and playlists recently added moves to the top of the library.
Streamlined iTunes Radio. The change makes it easier to discover music with iTunes Radio. It also allows users to return to favorite stations in Recently Played.
New MiniPlayer. This feature will show which music is playing and will give control playback while browsing music collection.
Improved Now Playing. Begin offline streaming music using AirPlay without leaving Now Playing.
Up Next. A simpler way to find which songs from the library will play next is to click the Up Next icon in Now Playing. Reorder, add, or skip songs whenever preferred.
Global Search. Search anywhere in the Music app by tapping the magnifying glass icon. Search results are ordered accordingly. Also, users can start an iTunes Radio station from here.
