'Destiny' 1.1.2 Update Adds More Vaul Capacity and Fix for Nagging Bugs

By

Fans of the sci-fi shooter "Destiny" can have a little celebration as the latest update for the game has just been released.

Known as update 1.1.2, the latest patch for the game addresses a variety of requests from the players, and also fixes some of the most annoying bugs in the game. Perhaps the most notable addition coming via the newest update is the introduction of a bigger vault, according to Polygon. The new super-sized vault can hold up to 36 weapons, 24 pieces of armor, and 24 general items, way up from only being able to hold 20 of each prior to the update.

Unfortunately, given the memory restrictions for consoles such as the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, the people who play the game using these consoles will no longer be able to compare items within the vault. Also part of the latest update is the item-lock feature, according to Gamespot.

The feature acts as a safeguard to ensure that players who don't intend to dismantle a particular weapon or piece of armor, don't end up doing so simply because they pressed something they shouldn't have. Bugs which involved some of the raids in the game have also been fixed, according to Kotaku.

In the "Crota's End" raid, Crota will now have to be fully standing before there is a sword attack, according to Bungie. In the very same raid, a bug has also been fixed to ensure that the swords would not immediately vanish after swordbearers were beaten. Swords picked up during the raid will also be usable for 30 seconds thanks to the update.

Bungie has also chosen to be more accommodating to the colorblind members of their gaming audience with the latest addition of support for in-game elements such as motion trackers, loot drops, the shield's energy, and also item categories.

As for the planned expansion, the "House of Wolves" pack will be available by May 19.
