‘Frozen 2’ Spoilers, Release Date Updates: Movie sequel on hold as producers aim to explore televisions and stage play adaptation?

By

The lack of spoilers and a release date for the "Frozen 2" movie sequel is already starting to trigger rumors that the movie sequel is actually on hold. Reports of the franchise exploring the theater scene as well as a potential television debut worries fans. Many are already concluding that the next installment of the movie is already being pushed on a later date.

It was already confirmed a year ago in Disney's Twitter account that a Frozen 2 is happening. Unfortunately, no more details were revealed afterwards. With the lack of news and announcements about the upcoming sequel, fans are already starting to get worried that the sequel is actually being put on hold. Disney's CEO Robert Iger is also firm with the production decision to go for excellence, rather than speed in releasing a sequel for the blockbuster movie. "Frozen" happened to be the highest grossing animated movie of all time, thus, the pressure that comes with the release of "Frozen 2" really as a lot at stake.

On the lighter side, followers of the record-breaking animated film will get to enjoy the "Frozen" fever all over again as it is scheduled to make its US debut on television on February 2016. Disney Channel will commence airing "Frozen" regularly starting February of next year with several of its sister-channels like Disney XD, Disney Junior, ABC and the rest of the ABC Family. A 7-minute spin-off of the movie was also featured during the release of Cinderella in theaters earlier this year. A Broadway stage musical is also being developed inspired by the "Frozen" animated film.

Kristen Bell and Josh Gad are believed to be reprising their roles in the movie sequel as the voice behind Anna and Olaf. Josh Grad was even present during the press release where the announcement of the movie was made.

Spoilers and details about the movie will most likely be available as the premiere comes near. "Frozen 2" is rumored to be released on cinemas by 2018. In the meantime, "Frozen" can be enjoyed right at the comfort of your television screens and in theaters.
