Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Announces Ten In-game Operators, Tweaks, and Changes to Expect in PS4, Xbox One Gameplay

By

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is a long awaited game and is finally bound for release this fall of 2015. Recently, the developers concluded the closed alpha testing and are readying up for the probable release of the Beta testing date. Though, further teasing the audience, the developers recently released ten out of the 20 operators that are likely going to be present in the upcoming Beta test.

Operators are the in-game characters and have unique abilities depending on their line of expertise. Moreover, they are classified into two divisions; attackers and defenders, each of which bringing something different into the game. Though, despite being revealed, they are still likely going to experience tweaks and changes as developers try to balance their skills and capabilities.

The five offensive-type operators are; sledge, thermite, ash, thatcher, and twitch. In terms of breaching and breaking into defensive areas, the sledge is an operator that carries a heavy-duty breaching hammer designed to destroy walls, floors, and barricades in the smallest amount of time and force. However, there are locations that will be having tougher ultra-strong reinforced walls in which thermites become handy with their thermite breach charges. For long-range, the ash can fire a long-distance breach charge.

The thatcher and twitch, on the other hand, specialize in the field of electronics. Throwing a special EMP grenade, the thatcher can wipe out all electronic devices in range to get the upper-hand. Though, all the fire power will be useless if the enemy cannot be seen. This is where the twitch becomes handy with their surveillance equipment that can also deal minor damages as well as disable traps.

The defensive-type operators are; castle, smoke, pulse, rook, and mute. Both castle and rook provide armor with the castle specializing in barricades while the rook on body-armor. Having the same purpose as the twitch, pulses can locate enemies with the help of their heartbeat monitor.

On the other hand, the mute is equivalent to a thatcher, though rather than having grenades, they have a jamming device. Lastly, as the name suggests, the smoke will be using chemical gas charges to reinforce defensive areas.

Ten more operators are going to be unraveled in the days to come, however, the current ten are already hard to master and internalize. Though, as of the moment, only a small number of maps have been made public. This leads players to look forward for more Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Latest Updates.
