Excitement is brewing as the "Fear the Walking Dead" premiere this coming summer of 2015. A life close to that of "The Walking Dead" series is expected from this much awaited TV series spin-off. Despite rumors of a zombie apocalypse background plot for the upcoming spin-off, producers of the shows confirmed that "survival of the heart" is what the upcoming series will be all about.
A possible crossover between The Walking Dead spin-off and main series is expected by the fans, though confirmations about the possibility remain to be kept under consideration. The "Fear the Walking Dead" on the other hand will be relieving the events of the zombie apocalypse during its first outbreak. Unfortunately an explanation about how it all started will not be featured in the upcoming series. Robert Kirkman, comic book creator of the spin-off revealed in a recent interview with the National Association of Broadcasters in Las Vegas last April 14 that a zombie origin outbreak is "that's not the priority in Fear the Walking Dead." The production and crew are more concerned with "the heart."
The spin-off series will take fans back to a time when the walking dead were much more dangerous and when the living are still caught surprised and unprepared with the outbreak. Just like the original TV series, the dead and the living are still the ones to be feared off in the "Fear the Walking Dead." Kirkman further explained, "They are, in a sense, all just on borrowed time, and it's possible that the people that that we're following in this [spinoff] show are maybe a little bit more deadly."
Steven Yeun, AMC President Charlie Collier and Michael Schneider of TV Guide were also present during the panel interview. Yeun's character Glenn was constantly rumored to die on the season finale of the "Walking Dead" series. Fortunately, his character was given another season. Surprisingly Steven Yeun looks forward to an unforgettable death in the series, if ever death becomes necessary for his role.
This summer zombies are about to conquer television screens once again in the premiere of the "Fear the Walking Dead" TV series on ANC. A prequel series that is set into a world earlier than that of the "Walking Dead" series will revolve around the same plot the original series had, survival with a heart.
Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens and Frank Dillane will lead the cast of the upcoming "Fear the Walking Dead" on AMC this summer of 2015.
