After a series of delays, Batman Arkham Knight is set to be released on June 23, 2015. However, this comes as a bad news since it is a three-week deviation from the previously made announcement of June 2. In total, the game is already delayed for 8 months from the October 14, 2014 supposed original game release.
However, along the delay announcement was also the release of a 7 minute long new gameplay video that teased people of a portion of the game. It showed a never before seen grapnel gun ability as well as associated tricks. In addition, there was also a sneak peak of the newly added Fear Takedown combat mechanic. Warner Bros. did not take the game preview lightly as they also showed Batman's call for his vehicle and going into a pursuit that showed off the game's graphics and realism in the PS4. Saying it to be good, is simply an understatement.
Despite how prepared the game preview was, Warner Bros. stated that they are experiencing some slight drawbacks and are not willing to make any compromises. Though, considering that it is only a short delay, the game will be on the hands of players anytime soon without any more interruption. However, the company did not make any promises.
With a lot of teasers and a long delay, people are eager to get their hands on the game especially that it is an open-world Batman simulator. It allows for free-roaming and the ability to navigate the cities before pursuing a mission. Though, further information is scarce including background story. In the gameplay, however, it did show the pursuit to place Scarecrow into custody, but is this everything to it?
If the release is to push through the specified date, it will go along with the re-release of both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Though, despite being large titles for the franchise, people are more hyped about the Batman Arkham Knight release for Xbox One, PS4, and even PC. Moreover, this is the most awaited game for the entire series.
