A game version of Mad Max will be on its way after the announcement of the revival of the movie. Moreover, the movie will premiere on the 15th of May in which four months after will be the Mad Max Xbox One and PS4 release date, specifically on September 1 in North America and September 4 for the UK.
However, despite the first announcement stating that it will come on all platforms including last-gen consoles, recent updates suggest that it will no longer be so as the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have been cancelled.
The move is said to pave way for the developers to release the game as early as possible since all efforts will be redirected to new-gen consoles. In addition, the game will also be available for PC and will be released along with the Xbox One and PS4 versions. Moreover, with a few months from the game's release, some things have already been unraveled.
For the most part, the official box art is already available along with a few new images. In terms of content to be expected, Mad Max will be owning an Interceptor which is stolen by bandits. In his pursuit, he will be able to team up with a mechanic named "Chumbucket", though, everything is already a mystery after that.
Although, pre-ordering the game guarantees additional content namely The Ripper which is an in-game car body that will have a V8 engine, off-road tires, and ramming grill suitable for the post-apocalyptic free-roaming world the game is set in. In addition, it will be fully customizable and upgradable according to the player's resources inside the game. However, how it contends to missions is still unknown.
In the meantime, waiting for further announcements or the game itself will be the only action anticipating players can do. If the game does not experience any dilemmas, it will push through with the intended Mad Max Xbox One and PS4 release date. Despite the handful of information, the game will guarantee a lot of possibilities and content especially with the free-roaming environment.
