Rock Band 4 Xbox One, PS4 October Release Date Officially Confirmed by Harmonix; 4th Title Runs in 60fps, Realistic Gameplay Features

Harmonix has confirmed the exciting arrival of Rock Band 4, the 4^th installment of the award-winning Rock Band series and that they are trying to improve and insert innovation for Rock Band 4. While they are still mum about the new and additional features, Rock Band 4 is sure to deliver huge surprise in its upcoming arrival.

Rock Band 4 will run at 1080p/60fps and release this October. It will be coming out for PS4, Xbox One, and will be supporting all existing DLC and instruments. According to product manager Eric Pope, Harmonix had "built a brand new engine for Rock Band 4 to make the most of the new hardware. It's going to look 'next-gen' with more realistic lighting, character models, and animation," and he also shared that that Rock Band 4 "will be 1080p and will run at 60fps."

Rock Band is popularly known as the award-winning social and interactive music performance experience. Its 4^th installment will reportedly focus on delivering big in three scenarios: users looking to get the highest score they possibly can, users looking to add atmosphere to a party or get-together and a story narrative that lets players simulate the career of real-life rock stars.

Alex Rigopulos, the chief creative officer of Harmonix, stated that they wanted to improve taking chances in Rock Band 4. He shared that "None of the games in the genre really delivered a lot of innovation, or maybe the right kind of innovation in the experience during that period," and that it's their responsibility to "deliver that innovation this time around."

During the previous installment, the game was criticized because many critics felt that the game's push to get users playing real life instruments was a bit too much. The aforementioned innovation actually refers to making it easier this time for people to understand what Rock Band is all about.

Gameplay details are still being kept secret, but fans are already showing their enthusiasm as evident in social media. Rock Band 4 is definitely coming out in October this year for PS4 and Xbox One game consoles.
