Despite already being successful, Capcom felt the need to provide a new game that delivers what the audience wanted that was not in Devil May Cry 4, which was released a long time ago in 2008 that resulted to the current development of Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition. However, despite to be released in June 18 for the PS4 and Xbox One, and June 24 for the PC in Japan, limited details are still available. Though, current unraveled information teases the massive anticipating gaming audience.
The game features a lot of new additions that were not present in Devil May Cry 4, mostly about playable characters. Moreover, as of the moment, only three are still known, however, it is most likely that it is all that there is. Though, having Vergil, Trish, and Lady, added alongside Nero and Dante is worth looking forward to.
Trish and Lady already have a series of their possible capabilities and limits revealed. For Trish, unlike Dante, she does not have the ability to switch weapons and only relies on her large sword, Sparda, and pistols. However, Lady is making a much bigger impact on the game especially that this is her first ever appearance in the playable scene. Although, the only known thing about her is that she will be relying on firearms rather than swords which brings variation to the conventional fighting schematic of the game.
Though, the two are considered minor additions while Vergil is the featured playable character with most of his skill sets already unraveled. Moreover, he will be having the Yamato, Beowulf, and Force Edge weapons going alongside with a concentration feature, making him more powerful than the native playable characters.
In terms of the game itself, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition will feature more frequent appearances of red orbs and proud souls, supposedly aimed to easily max the upgrades of characters before the game ends. Along with it will be a turbo mode to increase the game's pacing by 20% and a Legendary Dark Knight mode. In the end, there is no doubt that a lot of thought was placed on the game and should easily be a hit among DMC fans.
