It is said that Apple might delay the iPhone 7 until 2016 in order to give the company ample time to perfect the iOS software, which implies that Apple would just release the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, and the rumored iPhone 6C.

A post in ValueWalk stated that Apple's iOS 9 might feature the following:

1. Features for enterprise. Apple is set to close the gap on market leaders such as Blackberry and wishes to ensure that the iPhone is operating within an enterprise environment. Once the iOS 9 is released, it is expected to feature enterprise-friendly functionalities and apps.

2. Features for Apple Watch. The Apple Watch is the company's important device of a wider strategy to increase the revenue streams. Hence, the iOS 9 is expected to feature some improvements aimed at the Apple Watch series.

3. Features for CarPlay. The company has been seen linking devices with the electric car manufacturer Tesla in order to dominate in in-car software systems. Thus, a huge change that the iOS 9 would improve CarPlay functionalities.

4. Features for Beats Streaming Music Service. Apple is said to have paid a significant amount to acquire the brand. There are also expectations that there could be some kind of merging between iTunes and the Beats service in coming months, and music-related functionalities are expected to come out in the iOS 9 operating system.

Recent rumors about the iOS 9 mentioned its codename to be Monarch, and there's also a possibility that the beta test would come out this summer. Further, rumors are also saying that Apple is testing and developing a version, resembling the iOS 8.4 version. Ordoh cited reports by MacWorld that a tech writer, Roman Zavrel, contacted them and told them that an iOS 9 appeared in the analytics for their website.

The site's traffic data saw three visits in January using iOS 9.0. MacWorld also saw ten views from devices running iOS 9.x.

"We looked into this using our own analytics, and sure enough, Macworld has recorded ten page views from devices running variants of iOS 9.x in the past few months. (Six were recorded as iOS 9.0, three were iOS 9.2 and one was 9.0.9.)," said MacWorld.
