Samsung has been upping its game recently by releasing the Galaxy S6 and the Note 5 with excellent features, such as a 4k display resolution, an impressive camera, and many more. These are said to bring pressure for Apple to "deliver the best smartphone screen this 2015," at least. More than that, a report suggested minumum requirements that the iPhone 7 should have. It included a better battery life, wireless charging, and others. Wha else should Apple include?
Both Samsung's Galaxy S6 and Note 5 have received positive reviews, as the two devices surpassed their predecessors. A recent report seems to suggest that the iPhone 7 "will have to tussle" with the Galaxy S6 and Note 5, as the two devices are considered as iPhone's "chief rivals." Further, Apple "might be obliged to match or even exceed what Samsung has to offer this year."
In order to exceed Apple's rivals, the report suggested minimum requirements for the next iPhone. One is the 4K display resolution. It was noted that the Galaxy S6 was considered as the "best smartphone screen around" because it sports a Quad HD screen technology. The Galaxy Note 5 is expected to improve this quality also. Galaxy S6 Edge's display as well received praise from CNET, and said that the bottom line of the device is it "has the beauty, brains and brawn to take down the iPhone 6 and all the Android competition."
International Business Times AU said, "Thus the pressure is on for Apple to deliver the best smartphone screen this 2015. The iPhone 7 will have to impress with a 4K screen tag in order to achieve this, which for the tech giant is hardly an impossible feat."
Another is the camera. Samsung Galaxy S6's camera shot amazed an NDTV reviewer as the device produced "extraordinarily impressive" photos. Close-up shots also showed the camera's ability to "reproduce fine textures and really make colours pop." In Apple's part, rumors are expecting a dual-lens sensor that could make images and videos with DSLR-class quality to be included in the iPhone 7.
Besides the 4K display and a better camera, the report also included sapphire glass, wireless charging, and longer-lasting battery life, as part of the minimum requirements, for Apple to beat its rivals in the smartphone arena.
