It's all set, Xiaomi's Mi Note Pro is out to make its mark this 6th of May. In a Weibo post, CEO Lei Jun, one of China's richest tycoon confirmed that the much-improved Mi Note iteration is set to be available on pre-order.
However, what is apparently clear is Xiaomi is doing marketing in its own distinct way. Perhaps in a bid to test the waters, China's biggest smartphone-maker is limiting its release to the Asian market. For the moment, the rest of the world may have to wait.
Phablet Stunner
Already vastly compared to Samsung's own phablet flagship which carries the same Note moniker, the Mi Note Pro is armed to the teeth with stunning features.
For starters, it expanded the 3GB RAM of its predecessor and the Mi Note Pro boasts of a 4GB offering with a 5.7-inch screen size.
Added to this, you get an internal memory storage of 64GB, outdistancing the 16GB starter of the Mi Note.
The Mi Note Pro carries Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 810 8-core processor, a faster chip than Mi Note's Snapdragon 801 and with it an Adreno 430 GPU reports AndroidAuthority.
Plus, you get a 13MP rear camera coupled with a 4MP front camera, notes Zee News.
Adding juice, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro carries a powerful 3000mAh 4.4V lithium-ion battery, Quick Charge 2.0 and is a dual 4G SIM smartphone.
Further, Xiaomi's flagship phablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the exclusive Xiaomi-technology MIUI 6 interface.
Making Waves
It is no secret Xiaomi has made its mark in the marketing department.
It overcame Samsung and Apple as the predominant supplier in Mainland China and has ranked #3 in the world.
On April 8 it has gotten the nod of Guiness World of Record selling the highest number of smartphones in a single day - a record 2.11 million units in 12 hours.
And it has set itself an ambitious goal this 2015: 100 million smartphones.
Xiami Note Pro's predecessor has garnered rave reviews and outstanding sales since its launch last January.
But in another stunning move, Xiaomi's May 6 market opening opens its latest phablet in Asian market only specifically China, India, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, according to Ecumenical News.
Set at 3,299 yuan ($532), Xiaomi Mi Note Pro looks super-promising.
