Disney XD's 'Star Wars Rebels' Season 2 is now prepping for the highly anticipated airing this summer. The recently debuted trailer showcased the retaliation of Darth Vader, voiced by James Earl Jones. It was also speculated that Sarah Michelle Gellar will be joining the cast as a mysterious character, but many guessed that it could be the young Princess Leia.

As part of the ongoing Star Wars Celebration event, the show premiered a trailer for its 'Star Wars Rebel' Season 2 focusing on the retaliation of Darth Vader against the show's core cast.

According to CBR, the panel at SWC also made known to public that actor Dee Bradley Baker would be joining the series and bringing with him three of his characters from the last 'Star Wars' show, 'Clone Wars' with him such as Captain Rex, Commander Wolffe and Gregor. Baker joins the already returned 'Clone Wars' character Ahsoka Tano as voiced by Ashley Eckstein. Not only that, it was also confirmed that James Earl Jones will return as the voice of Darth Vader in the upcoming season.

Right after the 'Star Wars Rebel' Season 1 finale, Deadline has word that Sarah Michelle Gellar has joined the voice cast of "Star Wars Rebels." Although no details were revealed, the website indicates the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star will appear in a recurring role. Her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. voices the Jedi Kana. However, the latest 'Star Wars Rebels' Season 2 update by Blastr speculated that Gellar is also joining the cast as a mysterious character, while some believe she will be a young Princess Leia.

Apart from the Star Wars trailer unleashed last weekend, new posters featuring Ahsoka Tano in a lightsaber duel with Darth Vader were also released.

Season 1 just ended last March, and Disney XD promises the 'Star Wars Rebels' Season 2 will arrive this summer.
