After the show has been renewed for another season, many want to know what to expect to this musically inclined TV series by FOX. It is now rumored that Season 2 gets 22 episode, which perhaps too long. Meanwhile, the popular pair Gabourey Sidibe and Ta'Rhonda Jones becomes full-pledged members of the show.

Thanks to FOX, now the becoming popular TV series 'Empire' got renewed. Now, it has been debated around if the show will continue as 12-episoder series or will it go beyond that. It was even told that 'Empire' Season 2 could have 22 episodes. How true is this?

In an interview with Deadline, executive producer Lee Daniels, while promoting the show in Paris, accompanied by Taraji P. Henson, told that the network wanted to do 22 episodes for 'Empire' Season 2, which he thinks is "a nightmare." He also pointed out that there was going to be a negotiation between the show's producers and Fox.

"And I know you all want to see 22 episodes, but that will kill her ... It's a lot of work to make that good stuff. I know it's going to be more than 12 and it won't be 22," executive producer added.

CarterMatt guesses that 'Empire' Season 2 will have about 18 episodes. The site also agreed that the less is more for this show.

Meanwhile, latest 'Empire' spoilers and latest update revealed that the put-upon assistant are finally become full-pledged members of the show. Gabourey Sidibe and Ta'Rhonda Jones, who play Lucious' and Cookie's respective lackeys Becky and Porsha, have been promoted to regulars, TVLine reported.

The popular pair will start as regulars in 'Empire' Season 2 effectively. Previously, Ilene Chaiken commented on the series-regular prospects of Sidibe and Jones, telling TVLine that, "We love them both, and we want them both back as ongoing characters on the show."
