Prince William begins early paternity leave, has Kate Middleton given birth?

Prince William is already on paternity leave earlier than expected. There are reports circulating that Kate Middleton has already given birth although there is no official announcement on this yet.

Normally, fathers go on paternity leave starting from the day their baby is born. However, according to a report, the Prince is on a longer leave wherein he is scheduled to go back to work as a trainee rescue helicopter pilot after 6 weeks. The source said Kate Middleton was seen going to a hospital on Tuesday, on the birthday of Queen Elizabeth.

Speculations came out that this could be the reason why the Prince went on an earlier leave. It did not say though if the Duchess of Cambridge has indeed given birth already. It was also not mentioned if the hospital she went to was St. Mary's Hospital where she is expected to deliver the baby. Kensington Palace has also not made any official announcement about it yet. The Palace earlier said that the time of the birth announcement will be rightly scheduled.

A report said the Prince William's early leave, which will be an unpaid leave until the baby is born, happened because of an unexpected early completion of his training with Bond Air Services. It said the Duke's good performance coupled with a good weather made his flight training and evaluation end sooner than expected. The Prince would have endured a 2-hour drive from Norfolk to London to be with his wife if ever she has given birth to their second baby, had he not come home earlier.

Meanwhile, Kate's Uncle Gary Goldsmith believes Prince George's soon to be sibling will not be the last. A report says Goldsmith does not think the couple will stop at two children. He also hopes that his grand niece or nephew will be born on April 29 which is his 50th birthday and the couple's 4th wedding anniversary.

Whether Kate Middleton has already gone into labor or not, the early paternity leave would give Prince William more time to be by his wife's side and their baby.
