The Little Prince movie adaptation has recently released its trailer which shows that the animated movie will make viewers emotional. The plot will still be the same and will only differ in the part where additional characters were included.
PLOT
In the second trailer unveiled, it included the story between a mother (voiced by Rachel McAdams) and a daughter (Mackenzie Foy). The uptight mother is bent on securing a good future for her daughter wishing she would be a successful grownup. It also focuses on the young girl's budding friendship with their odd aviator neighbor (Jeff Bridges) who tells her about his encounters with The Little Prince.
In the 1943 children's book authored by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, the story only revolved around the Little Prince, the aviator and other animal characters. The report says that in the French film, the Little Prince falls from his asteroid home into a desert where he meets the aviator and makes friends with. The fox (James Franco) also befriends the little Prince and teaches him about the world of grown-ups. Directed by Mark Osborne who did the comedy animation Kung Fu Panda also under Pixar, the movie is said to be a sure tearjerker.
The first trailer released was a French version. In the latest trailer, the little girl is seen flying and discovering the world realizing that she does not want to grow up anymore. Just like the book, the movie is expected to be deep and philosophical with lines like, "Growing up is not the problem, forgetting is." According to a report, the trailer is full of "life and color" with a more lighthearted take on the Prince's narration.
Meanwhile, other casts to complete the movie are Benicio del Toro as the snake, Marion Cotillard as the rose, Paul Giamatti as the teacher and Ricky Garvais as the conceited man.
Although there is no official word yet on the date of release for The Little Prince movie adaptation, it is said to premiere this coming summer in the U.S. It will be shown during the Cannes Film Festival on May in France and will be available on theaters in the said country by July 29, 2015.
