The latest update on the relationship of tv host Ellen DeGeneres and Australian actress Portia De Rossi has made fans of the popular & much-adored couple breathing a sigh of relief.
You've got to just keep loving & learning from Ellen, especially for finally setting the record straight after months of public speculation that their marriage was on the rocks. The vibrant host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show slammed reports that she and the former "Ally McBeal" and "Scandal" actress were headed towards splitsville. Ellen has been a supportive spouse as problems surfaced in the homefront. In early July last year, she was reported to be at Portia's side, lending full support, when the latter checked into the Passages Malibu rehab facility and spent a month there.
There were also news of Ellen's flirtation with another woman, and the couple's constant fighting that has turned 'ugly.' Ellen had also cleared talks about the possibility of having a baby, saying that they may not yet be having one in the near future yet.
Ten years after the couple became an item and seven years after they tied the knot, Ellen and Portia have gone through some very critical moments that tested their love and patience. Yet the bond between them has remained strong. Amidst reports that circulated on the internet in early January that they were divorcing each other, the couple had posted happy photographs spent together.
In recent weeks, they're the picture of a happy Hollywood red carpet couple once again, attending media awards events and other social functions. Incidentally, a tell-all book penned by celebrity writer Randy Jernigan will reportedly spill the beans on whether Ellen and Portia's marital life has been smooth-sailing or tumultuous. Incidentally, the same writer has cited Ellen DeGeneres in another book among the handful of Hollywood A-listers who has made a difference to the community and the world.
