Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple was unlikely to release a low-cost 4-inch iPhone model this year because the sales of the iPhone 5s are still strong, rather the company would release it in 2016. New sources reportedly said that an iPhone 7 was developed, and they hinted specs such as a QHD 5-inch Retina display, and many more. However, the display is said to be inadequate to rival Samsung's Galaxy S6. Further, Antonio De Rosa showed a concept video of an iPhone 7 sporting Apple Watch's digital crown.
No iPhone 6c this year, but on 2016
There were rumors saying that Apple might release a low-cost iPhone 6c version this year. However, recent reports imply that this may not happen. This is because Ming-Chu Kuo reportedly said that the sales of the 4-inch iPhone 5s remain stable. Hence, Apple won't likely release the rumored 4-inch iPhone 6c this year. Ming-Chi Kuo gave a note to investors that he is expecting the sales of the iPhone 5c to be halted this year, making the iPhone 5s as Apple's new low-end iPhone offering this fall. Though the analyst is not expecting a 4-inch iPhone model to be released, he estimates that Apple might debut it in 2016. Further, he sees the new 4-inch model iPhone as the "key to extending momentum" for those who prefer having a smaller iPhone version.
iPhone 7 specs and features
Load the Game cited sources that an iPhone 7 is being worked on. However, the publication states an uncertainty about it, especially on the name of the upcoming iPhone model, whether it is going to be called iPhone 7 or iPhone 6s. The release date was also cited, saying that most people agree that the iPhone 7 is coming out this October 2015. Though there are rumors that the iPhone 7 would have a flexible body, the sources reportedly said that its design will stay the same. It is very likely also that the iPhone 7 will still have the metal body, the high-tech TouchID fingerprint scanner, the thin and light chassis, and slimmed down bezels, which its top and bottom bezels are said to be thinner than on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The iPhone 7 will also have a much-improved fingerprint scanner that won't occupy so much space. Other features include a QHD 5-inch Retina display. However, the sources said that it couldn't rival with Samsung's Galaxy S6. Further, the iPhone 7 will include Force Touch, new gestures especially air gestures, A9 processor, Qi wireless charging, 2500 mAh, DSLR-level quality, 13 MP iSight sensor rear camera, and 5 MP camera on the front.
iPhone 7 concept video
There was also a concept video by Antonio De Rosa that showed some of the features in the Apple Watch being offered in the iPhone 7. In the concept video, it showed the iPhone 7 borrowing the "digital crown" in the Apple Watch.
Apple has yet to make an announcement about their iPhone releases.
