Sony normally releases models twice a year until recently but this year, rumours mention that the company is set to unveil two Z models to succeed the current flagship, Xperia Z4. The Japanese electronics giant is yet to confirm the news nonetheless gossips on Sony Xperia Z5 and its specs and features are already all over the internet.

According to the recent speculations, the 5.2-inch Xperia Z4 possibly debuts around the middle of 2015 and by the last quarter of 2015, Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Ultra follow. The two are likely to be very comparable save on some features such as screen size to properly distinguish the two.

Rumours on Xperia Z4 specs tell that the new flagship is not far behind its predecessor Z3 when it comes to features and design. The same may not be true for Xperia Z5 as many suppose the unconfirmed flagship is built from ground zero. Z5 most probably features a Snapdragon 820 which is likely the cause of its delay if the best Qualcomm chipset to date does not make it by the 4th quarter this year. AndroidOrigin reports that the chip production potentially pushes Xperia Z5's release by January next year.

Aside from having the most state-of-the-art Smartphone chipset, Xperia Z5 boasts of a 2K resolution display, 4GB RAM and cutting-edge camera sensors. Furthermore, Apple's iPhone 7 is expected to introduce a whole new world of Smartphone experience with its Force Touch technology and Sony responses to this by ditching its standard fingerprint scanning feature in favour of Qualcomm's Ultrasonic Sense ID. The Ultrasonic Sense ID is only available in Xperia Z5 Ultra.

Everything seems thrilling about the Xperia Z5 news, especially for Xperia fans, but without any official confirmation from the company fans should hold their horses and stay tuned for upcoming announcement from Sony themselves.
