It has been confirmed that Sony Xperia Z5 Premium will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update through official over-the-air update. Sony promised Marshmallow will bring its new features, functionality and improvements.
It has been confirmed by Sony Mobile that Sony Xperia Z5 will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update via over-the-air release. The update in history is expected to roll out to the smartphone before 2015 concludes.
Sony Mobile has revealed a list of devices in its roadmap for the much-anticipated Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Sony has enlisted a total of 14 lucky devices including Xperia Z5, Z4 Tablet, Z3 and Z2, among others.

Sony Xperia Z5, successor to Xperia Z4 has a completely different design and specs from the rest of the Xperia series. The lastest device from Sony is expected to be launched in the last quarter of this year.
Despite its supposed "predecessor" equally being unofficially announced outside the Japanese market, rumors abound regarding the production planning of the Sony Xperia Z5, and its variants.
