Gamers worldwide prepare for the unveiling of "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" this Sunday, April 26, 2015. The game is due to be released this fall on Xbox One and PS4 gaming consoles.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" is set 50 years in the future. Treyarch presents a convincing take on the technological advancements that can happen within that time, and how the military will probably use the technology. Activision made gamers aware of the new "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" early this April.
The Call of Duty website is now revamped to feature the upcoming Black Ops III.The new trailer for "Black Ops III" can also be viewed there. The trailer which is entitled "Ember," speculates on medical advancements with military procedures. Genetic modifications, retinal implants, biohacking, and how military combatants will be affected are featured in the video.
According to Treyarch, the new "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" is set in a "dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare." In addition to the futuristic setting, the game will feature three main modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. The post-apocalyptic mode was first revealed in 2008's "Call of Duty: World at War."
The military themed, first person shooter game had fans commenting that it had a similar vibe with another military themed shooter game, the Eidos-released Deus Ex. Now, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided developer Eidos Montreal responded to the upcoming game with a funny meme tweeted at the official Call of Duty Twitter page.
Activision is set to formally reveal the game in detail this Sunday, April 26. "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" is set to be released for Xbox One and PS4 this fall.
