"The Hateful Eight" boasts of its stellar ensemble handpicked by Quentin Tarantino himself. Kurt Russell is one of the stars chosen to hop on board of Tarantino's ship and the actor only has praises for the award winning director. Russell noted that Tarantino acts as the "king pirate" while they were filming.
Kurt Russell compared his experience while filming "The Hateful Eight" to working on a pirate ship. He described Quentin Tarantino as the "king pirate" who's in charge and just simply knows everything everybody has ever done. Russell said that every day, the whole cast is having a blast sailing on rough seas and battle each other while the one of a kind director leads them.
"There's a lot of music on the set, the whole crew is handpicked and they love each other. The cast we're working with is just tremendous," said the actor.
Russell also worked with a stellar cast including Channing Tatum, Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Tim Roth, and Michael Madsen.
"The Hateful Eight" ship almost did not sail after Tarantino decided to drop the project when its early script leaked online. However, after a successful stage reading of the script hosted by Tarantino himself, he decided to pursue the project.
The new Quentin Tarantino film is set years after the Civil War and will focus on a stagecoach headed to a town called Red Rock but will be caught by a blizzard and will trap a mistrustful group of competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade who claims to be a sheriff, a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere.
Despite previous hindrances, "The Hateful Eight" ship will finally drop its anchors on theaters this fall. A roster of experienced actors including Kurt Russell will appear in the movie led by the "king pirate," Quentin Tarantino.
