Bethesda currently holds limited public beta for "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" before its release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June. Not everyone who signed up for the tester will get an invite and a chance to play the game. Those who are invited get instructions via email on how to get started.
"The Elder Scrolls Online" publisher Bethesda decided to hold a pre-launch beta for PlayStation 4 and Xbox gamers to allow them to explore the Tamriel stretch free from any game-subscription. A detailed FAQ for the gamers who will have a chance to participate in the trial period was posted online as well.
One of the queries includes whether the players will be able to carry over their beta characters to the live version of "The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" once it is released. Unfortunately, such is not possible as Bethesda will be wiping all characters from the trial before the game's worldwide release. Although, they also clarified that if players are eligible for the PC/Mac to PS4 and Xbox One transfer, their characters will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One megaservers at launch.
The beta is not cross-console as invited players will be logged into their own PS4 and Xbox One megaservers with one each for North America and Europe. Bethesda also released some screenshots from the console versions of the game.
The game trial started on April 23, at 10AM EDT and ends on Monday, April 27, 10AM as well.
"The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited" is an online role-playing video game developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and will be released on June 9, 2015. Its publisher, Bethesda, already commenced the limited public tester on PS4 and Xbox One and even encourages the invited participants to share some game screenshots online.
