iPod Touch 6th Gen Runs iOS 8.3 in Sleeker Design, Longer Battery Life; September 2015 Release Confirmed by Apple

By

We have to wait a little bit more before the iPod 6th gen will be released to the public. It was slated for release in 2013 then 2014 and now it has been confirmed that Apple will release the iPod 6 in September of this year.

One of the products that boosted Apple into the forefront of revolutionizing the tech industry was their iPod. It changed the game and it was wildly popular back in the day. The ipod 5th gen was released back in 2012 and they haven't released an upgrade since. The reason for this is because there is nothing the iPod can do that the phones or tablets cannot. Plus, teens have always been their original market. When they noticed the dip in popularity in that demographic, they decided to hold off.

They also released Apple watch which is a wearable media device but it will not replace the iPod.

It has been speculated that the new iPod 6 will be thinner and will be released in a 4.7 inch and 5.7 inch version. It will also come in various colors which the teens will surely appreciate. It will run on iOs 8.3 and will have a longer battery life. Apple has made it with better security through touch ID and it has made it compatible with the Apple watch.

It will also come with an improved camera and a micro SD capacity. It will also be waterproof. The tentative date for release of the iPod 6 currently stands at September of this year and there have been no announcements to the contrary. These are just some of the upgrades Apple has given the iPod 6 but there are other features that we will know about once it officially hits the market.

Apple is aware that if they sold it as a conventional media player that it will not be enough. They should offer something else, like a complete entertainment package with Touch ID or even an HD retina display. The public is constantly looking for something new and innovative. Who better to provide us with those products than Apple? There's a reason why they are considered a leader in their industry.

So despite the delays, Apple will finally release the iPod 6 in the latter part of the year. Whether they have other aces up their sleeve remains to be seen. It will be interesting to see how the public receives the iPod 6. With Apple's track record, I don't doubt for one second , it will be another smashing hit.
