"I'm hearing encouraging news on the state of Stana Katic's 'Castle' negotiations," Michael Ausiello of TV Line hinted.
This may come as good news for most fans, especially after the "Castle" actress seemingly bid her fans farewell in a series of Instagram posts. Katic posted 24 behind-the-scenes photos on the set of "Castle," which marked the fulfillment of her promise to her fans to celebrate the finale of the show's season 7.
Katic has previously aired her thoughts on reprising her role for season 8, for which the "The Shield" actress replied: "If the character is complete, if there is nowhere else to go creatively, then I think it's better to stop when you're on top."
The 37-year-old actress also expressed that she is grateful to have been part of the show when a fan asked her on Twitter about the show's ending. Bad news for "Castle" fans, though, is that there is still no news about the show's renewal for season 8, despite Nathan Fillion's confirmation that he has already renewed his contract.
While news about the show's renewal is yet to be confirmed or announced, the show's creator, Andrew Marlowe revealed to the same outlet in a different report that whichever decision the network ends up with, fans will not be left hanging on the season 7 finale of "Castle."
"It was a bit of a challenge to craft a [finale] when there was so much uncertainty about the show's future, with our [actors] in negotiations, not knowing if we're coming back and all that sort of stuff," he said. Marlowe also revealed that him and rest of the team tried to create a "satisfying conclusion if it is indeed the conclusion" with a storyline that could also be used in case the show gets renewed for another season.
