The Voice Season 8 Episode 8 promises to bring an infinity cycle to the show as the current coaches bring in former show mentors together to help the remaining Top 8 contestants.
NBC teased about Adam bringing back Usher, Blake working with CeeLo Green, and Pharrell and Christina both getting help from Gwen Stefani.
E! News notes this would be the first time the 3 former coaches will be together on the show at the same time.
Usher served as regular coach in Seasons 4 and 6. CeeLo Green is a pioneering coach at The Voice, mentoring contestants in Seasons 1-3, and 5. Gwen Stefani was a coach in Season 7.
Adam Levine's lone bet in the competition, Joshua Davis, will get much-needed superstar and survivor tips from the legendary Usher-Adam team after Davis was saved in last week's show only by fan votes on Twitterverse, the show's new "save" measure.
Original coach CeeLo Green returns to the show to add colour to the team of reigning champ Blake Shelton who has managed to keep all his artists, Hannah Kirby, Meghan Linsey, and Corey Kent White, safe in the competition. Country artist Linsey is being compared to Janis Joplin and Ann Wilson of Heart.
Teenage sensations Sawyer Fredericks and Koryn Hawthorne of Team Pharrell Williams get pep talks for confidence and inspiration from The Voice one-time-coach Gwen Stefani. Fredericks is a 16-year-old farmer from upstate New York with a voice that can be compared to John Denver's and is reportedly Williams' best bet for winning the season. Eyes are on Hawthorne for making her version of Ed Sheeran's "Make it Rain" reach near the top of the iTunes charts.
Pop icon Gwen will also mentor Christina Aguilera's touted superstars-in-the-making, India Carney and Kimberly Nichole. Aguilera as been quoted to say Nichole has what it takes to win the season with her powerful Tina Turner-like vocals and performing clad in tutus.
The Voice Season 8 airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8pm on NBC.
