The competition for 2-in-1 tablet laptops has just become more interesting with Intel's recent released of the world's first wireless PC. Asus Transformer Book T300i, which runs on Intels' Skylake processors, is seen as a must-watch tablet devices for this year together with Microsoft's Surface 3 and Dell's Venue 11 Pro 7000 series. Could Apple introduce MacBook 2016 in the form of a tablet laptop too given the heightened craze for this device?
Intel has recently released the first no-wire tablet laptop in partnership with Asus and wireless solutions provider WiTricity. Asus Chi notebook has Windows 8.1 on board, with business-friendly Microsoft apps such as Skype, One Note, and a trial version of Office. It has 8GB RAM, up to 16GB of free cloud storage, a micro SD slot and 128 GB SSD. Other notable features include the Bluetooth keyboard, 2MP 720p webcam camera, a Micros USB port, a headphone/mic combo jack, a Micro HDMI port, and an active stylus which is sold separately.
The Surface Pro 3 has an enhanced 12-inch screen display and 2160 by 1440 pixels. This gave a 216 ppi boosts in pixels per inch, allowing the device to display more content. It's aspect ratio which has been set at 3:2 is said to be better compared to the 16:10 aspect ratio of the 13.3-inch MacBook Air. Other features include the 5MP front and rear cameras, improved Surface Pen, new double hinge, and a redesigned Type cover. Not only does it provide "an added notepad feel when held in a portrait position," but also unbelievably thin and light for a tablet that functions like a laptop.
Dell's Venue 11 Pro 7000 series combine the power of both the Atom and the Core i5. It runs on Windows 8.1 Pro and packs a number of Dell's own diagnostic and utilities apps. It is also loaded with Intel's apps like PROSet, WiDi Remote, Wireless Tools, and Microsoft apps.
The device has 8GB RAM and 128GB hard drive and 2MP front camera and 8MP rear camera. A number of ports and magnetic connectors include headphone jack, volume buttons, speaker, and . the island-style keyboard has its own battery.
With these brands' masterpieces claiming to be superior over one another, and the consistently growing demand for a tablet that works like a PC, it could be likely that these devices are here to stay. That and the possibility for wireless charging technologies to go mainstream, are seen as factors that Apple supporters are keeping an eye for in the upcoming Macbook 2016 tablet laptop.
