Last Monday, Kim Kardashian showed the world her full support on her stepfather Bruce Jenner. She said to Matt Lauer, host of "Today" show that there's still an adjustment and some family therapy might be needed. However, Kim stated that the reports are "made up" saying that the entire family is behind Bruce. Kim pointed out that the whole family is being supportive of Bruce's admission on being "a woman". She said that they have learned to adjust on how to deal with it and it's a daily process.
During the interview on Friday, Bruce told Diane Sawyer that Kim has been the most supportive family member while Khloe Kardashian has had the hardest time adjusting on his transition. On the other hand, Kris Jenner did not submit any supportive quote for the special, while Bruce's two ex-wives did. Also, Kourtney Kardashian's partner Scott Disick, felt rather weird about Bruce's transition.
Though Bruce's decision gave his family a hard time adjusting, they make it sure that they have a consistent communication for them to open up their feelings and this is why they have held and is still having frequent family meetings. Kim Kardashian explained that the family felt "every emotion you could possibly imagine".
Upon admitting to Diane Sawyer's interview that he was a "woman", Bruce still has his supporters all over. Retired NFL star Randy Moss tweeted: "This interview takes guts an I'm proud of Bruce Jenner!... Live ur life an b urself!" while Oprah Winfrey called the interview "stunning". Kim Kardashian also posted on her Twitter "Love is the courage to live the truest, best version of yourself. Bruce is love."
Transgender leaders, as well as those in the lesbian, gay and bisexual community also gave their stand on Bruce's bravery. Cox congratulated Bruce Jenner on Twitter, saying: "It is always brave to stand in one's truth." Journalist Janet Mock said the interview confirmed that "no matter our age/path, we're all searching for authenticity, identity, acceptance & (self-)love." Kim Kardashian was sure Bruce is all ready to face all the coming series of events after his revelation on being a transgender.
