Project CARS Free DLC Vehicle Every Month: First Car Is W Motors’ Lykan Hypersport

Due to the multiple delays in the release of Project CARS, Slightly Mad Studios promises to give out a free DLC vehicle every month following the game's mid-May release. The monthly DLC vehicle serves as compensation for the prolonged delay of the game. First up in the series of upcoming cars: W Motors' Lykan Hypersport.

Earlier this month, developer Slightly Mad Studios together with publisher BANDAI NAMCO announced that the release of Project CARS will once again be delayed in order to sort out the remaining bugs and issues with the game. This is now the third time that Project CARS' release date was postponed and is now expected to come in mid-May. The developers are deeply thankful for the patience of the fans and promises to give away a series of free cars as compensation.

Late in March 2015, Project CARS' creative director, Andy Tudor, announced car number one which is none other than the breath-taking Lykan Hypersport from W Motors.

"We are immensely pleased to have this awesome machine in the game and to give fans the chance to get behind the wheel of a truly amazing vehicle," Tudor commented. "The Lykan Hypersport represents the first of a series of free cars we'll be giving away every month as a thank you to our fans for being so patient for the launch of the game."

The Lykan Hypersport is one of the most exclusive and expensive cars ever made with optional embeddable diamonds, emeralds, and sapphires available. It can reach 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of 245 mph and an impressive power producing 740 bhp. The Lykan Hypersport also features futuristic technology such as its holographic mid-air dashboard.

Andy Tudor further added that they will soon announce more information regarding the full schedule of the other DLC vehicles but hopes that the Lykan Hypersport provides a great sneak peek of what's coming for Project CARS. The game will be available in PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms in mid-May.
