Major details from the upcoming science fiction role-playing third-person shooting game, Mass Effect 4, were allegedly leaked due to an online survey from BioWare. Leaked information provides tons of details about Mass Effect 4's gameplay.
A notorious video game leaker shared some concrete details that could possibly be included in the upcoming game, Mass Effect 4. The information that first appeared on Reddit supposedly came from a survey that developer BioWare allegedly conducted in order to get feedback on the game's progress so far. The leak contained a ton of information regarding Mass Effect 4's narrative, exploration or customisation, mission types, and multiplayer mode.
According to the leak, there will be a new hero who will take on the role of a "Pathfinder" in search for a new home for humanity. BioWare confirmed that the main hero in the previous entries in the Mass Effect series, Commander Shepard, will no longer be the protagonist in the next one. Mass Effect 4 is also expected to be over four times the size of Mass Effect 3 with hundreds of solar systems to explore. There will also be two new species: the ancient race Remnants, and the seemingly antagonistic Khet.
It also seems that the adventures would take place aboard a starship called Tempest. The ship is supposedly capable of seamlessly transitioning between flying, to landing on a planet, to driving Mako, to getting out on foot.
Mass Effect 3 is also expected to only have the co-op multiplayer mode. Two modes include the Active Strike Team and Horde Mode. The Active Strike Team takes players on randomly generated, time sensitive missions roughly 20-30 minutes each. Horde Mode features waves of enemies with additional objectives such as disabling bombs or assassinating a target.
Even if the leaked information from the survey proves to be true, these are most possibly just design ideas that may or may not be included in the final design of the game. As of the moment, Mass Effect 4 publisher Electronic Arts has not yet revealed a release date for the game but its development have been announced at the 2014 E3 so the game will definitely come soon.
