Bill Ward drops album Accountable Beasts on iTunes; Facebook feud with Ozzy Osbourne pushes Ward to move forward

Black Sabbath original member Bill Ward quietly released his new album Accountable Beasts last Sunday in the wake of his and Sabbath co-founder Ozzy Osbourne's public Facebook feud.

Black Sabbath founding members Tony Iommi, Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward announced on 11 November 2011 that they were in the works to reunite and record a new album and tour in the beginning of 2012. By February 2012, Ward decided he would not participate further in the reunion unless he was given a "signable contract".

In a public Facebook post dated April 15, drummer Bill Ward's "signable contract" was again brought to the surface. Ward stated that he has "neither severed nor discontinued" his relationship with Sabbath, but that public statements made personal about him were inaccurate, causing him to be "detached emotionally and spiritually from Ozzy [Osbourne]". He readily declared he wanted Osbourne to "amend his opinions and exaggerations" in public since he was admonished in public.

Ward spoke with Rolling Stone following his public appeal to singer Ozzy Osbourne. The drummer clarified that "signable contract" pertained to earning better with festival gigs, publishing, and was prepared to negotiate a correct and secure contract and fair trade.

Singer Ozzy Osbourne responded to Ward's post, stating that Ward should "stop this smokescreen", emphasizing that Ward was unfit to tour due to health issues. "Stop playing the victim and be honest with yourself and our fans" wrote the singer. Ward responded stating his honesty was dated April 15, 2015.

Bill Ward has since continued with his affairs, releasing his Bill Ward Band album Accountable Beasts, and perhaps moving forward from the incident. Accountable Beasts was quietly released over the weekend and is now available on Itunes for digital download. Fans appeal to the musicians to sit down and talk with each other instead of airing their dirty laundry in public.

The public feud between Bill Ward and Ozzy Osbourne has simmered down, but appears to be unresolved. Bill Ward Band's new album Accountable Beasts is currently available for digital download on Itunes.
