The limited time PvP event for "Destiny" known as Iron Banner has officially returned, and changes are coming to the popular part of the game. For the record, the event officially returned on Tuesday. Iron Banner was originally slated to make its comeback last week, but the plans to do so were nixed because of issues popping up with the game's multiplayer mode.
Changes made to the the game's multiplayer mode via the 1.1.2 update were the ones that led to problems with regards to Iron Banner, according to Gamespot.
For players who are looking to take part in the special event, they will have to jump through a few hoops to do so. Iron Banner will only be accessible through the game's main Director menu. It should appear as an icon found above the Daily Story and Weekly Heroic and Nightfall Icons, according to Gaming Bolt. Iron Banner should appear onscreen as a "Featured" activity.
The more complicated way to navigate to Iron Banner is the result of what Bungie terms as a "navigation bug." Two different kinds of Legendary equipment are also confirmed to be a part of Iron Banner. One of these items is The Helm, and it can be utilized to increase the level of individual Guardians all the way up to 32.
Aside from the reintroduction of Iron Banner, changes are also coming to "Destiny" via the upcoming 1.2.0 update, according to Playstation Lifestyle. Changes to the game's economy are also expected to be a part of the latest update. One of the main changes coming via the latest update will affect the commendations in the game. Thanks to the change, commendations will no longer be a part of the game and they will not be needed for getting new weapons or gear.
In case, players have a bunch of these commendation stored, they can simply burn them in exchange for 250 points of reputation a pop.
