The Sony Xperia Z4 flagship smart phone was officially launched exclusively in Japan much to the disappointment of many Sony fans from other parts of the world since the handset would be made available only to the said country. Yet it would be unlikely for Sony to keep the Z4 in one country alone.

According to some rumors, Sony is planning on launching the Xperia Z4 internationally as its latest flagship handset. However, the smart phone will be launched under a different brand name, which Sony had not yet revealed. Fans may need to wait until the IFA 2015 this September in Berlin for any confirmation regarding the Z4. Other news however would claim that the Z4 will be launched at the final quarter of the year.

Sony Xperia Z4 Specs

Sony will be sticking to the traditional 5.2 inch full HD screen, similar to that of its predecessors the Z3 and Z2. But at least, the processor will be upgraded to a 2GHz Qualcomm Snagpdragon 810, the processor used by Samsung and Apple smart phones. It will have a 3 GB RAM and Adreno 430 graphics. Fans may also expect a 32 GB internal storage (doubled compared to its predecessor) which is expandable up to 128 GB through a microSD. The Xperia Z4 will be pre-installed with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Sony Xperia Z4 has improved its front shooter to 5.1 Mp with an Exmor R sensor while its main camera remains to 20.7 Mp which can record a 4K video. Sony also added the LTE Cat 6 and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity to its newest handset. However, the battery has been downgraded from 3100 mAH to 2830 mAh.

Sony Xperia Z4 may be close clone of the Z3 but it is in reality thinner and lighter at 6.9 mm and 144g. The smart phone has even obtained a micro USB port (uncovered and is still waterproof.
