Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston will reprise their roles in the upcoming "Thor 3: Ragnarok." The sequel is also set to be shown on November 3, 2017. However, details about "Thor 3: Ragnarok" are scarce. Nevertheless, a compilation of the rumors and leaks have been made that could give more hints about the highly anticipated film.
E! News Alicia Quarles recently interviewed Chris Hemsworth, and the actor shared the experience when the filming of the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" began. He said that it "was great" being reunited with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, and Cobie Smulders.
Chris Hemsworth also said, "It's like catching up with old buddies. We've all seen each other sort of in between, at premieres or whatever, but not in this capacity. So to come back in full costume is something I was looking forward to, anyway."
He also mentioned that "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is a "bit lighter from 'Thor'," noting that the production of "Thor: The Dark World" went a "little more serious in tone."
A "Thor" sequel, "Thor 3: Ragnarok," is also set to hit theaters on November 3, 2017, and details about the film are scarce. So far, these are the things that have been surfacing about the film:
- The film is based is basically based on the "Ragnarok" storyline, which Thor discovers Asgard on the verge to Ragnarok. Thus, the superhero must stop it from happening.
- Amora the Enchantress, the Scourge, Balder, and Beta Ray Bill will be making appearances, with Loki seeing the Enchantress as his love interest as well as Balder and Beta Ray Bill helping Thor to defeat Surtur.
- Chris Hemsworth and and Tom Hiddleston will reprise their previous roles.
- "Thor: Ragnarok" is going to be a "big continuation of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."
- Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost are the scriptwriters for the "Thor" sequel.
- According to a post in a "Thor 3" forum, "Thor" Volumes I (#349-353) and II (#80-85) will be used as a reference for the film.
- Marvel is rumored to be deliberating the following people to direct the sequel:
- Adam Mackay
- Gareth Edwards
- Matt Reeves
- Kenneth Branagh (though he said he decided to stop directing the film)
- Marvel is said to be looking for a director who will treat "Thor" with a "lot of respect."
- Fans were quite disappointed why "Thor 3" was delayed, and said that Marvel does not care about "Thor." However, Christopher Yost replied to a Twitter post that Marvel cares about the franchise, and assures that "everything is going to be okay."
As of this writing, Marvel has yet to make official announcements about "Thor 3: Ragnarok."
