By

The new Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate DLC pack is here, all set and ready to go.

Reports indicate that the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate DLC pack was sent out to Nintendo 3DS players for free earlier today.

New outfits such as Blanka and Chun-Li from Street Fighter, Mega Man (Palico equipment), and Metroid (Varia Suit) become available after downloading the new DLC pack and defeating specific monsters.

Completing Episode 3: Of Masks and Monsters will yield additional Cha-Cha and Kayaba costumes.

New gear like the starlight ax and the hunter master horn also can be had after defeating specific monsters.

New quests, like challenge quest 3, challenge quest 5, and monster fest 2 are made available as well.

Nintendo announced in the official Nintendo website that the upcoming additional free DLCs for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will be released on the first Friday of every month for the next several months. Nintendo then asked the readers to check back on Friday, May 1, promising an all new pack of free downloadable content.

So far, all of the DLCs released for the game are free. That, and the gameplay, graphics, and storyline have all contributed to the game's success so far.

Last April, the DLC released featured crossover outfits from the Super Mario Bros. and Sonic The Hedgehog series. The April DLC pack included 14 new quests, 2 new weapons, 3 complete armor sets, 2 Palico weapons, 4 Palico armor sets, Mario and Luigi Palico gear, Sonic The Hedgehog Palico gear, and more.

Last March, the DLC carried the Legend of Zelda link.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is the new version of Capcom's classic Monster Hunter 4. The game, released in February, is available worldwide exclusively on Nintendo 3DS. Multiple free DLC packs have been released since the launch of the game. Be sure to check out the latest Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate DLC pack!
