A host of Persona 5 new screenshots have been released in the Japanese Sony PS blog which caused an uproar among fans.
Apparently, most of the shots are still quite familiar - being that some are just enhanced and enlarged images from the said website, while others were screenshots from the debut trailer of the game. Basically, these do not adding anything new to what most avid gamers already know about the game, albeit sparking more excitement.
IGN takes particular appreciation of the 'Catherine-esque bar' which is the hangout place of the crew as well as the spectacular heists and capers. The images, also uploaded on GameSpot, show different aspects of the game which includes social areas, combat, dungeons, and even the funky game menu.
In 2013, Persona 5 was set to be a PS3 game. Later on, a new confirmation said that it will be for PS4 with 2015 as the intended launch date. The trailer, through which some of the screenshots were taken, was revealed last February.
In terms of the game itself, Katsura Hashino who is the director of Persona 5 felt generous enough to divulge some information. He said, "We're going with a challenge that fuses together a juvenile school setting that is as large as life, together with a picaresque romance."
Furthermore, he makes comparisons of this upcoming version with the storyline of the previous ones. He also adds, "This time, it's about a group of high school students that are being 'chased' by unexpected occurrences due to the justice they believe in. We're writing to convey a thrilling everyday life in the shoes of these characters, that are as large as life, in this juvenile school setting."
Atlus definitely knew that these Persona 5 new screenshots will work well in amplifying gamers' appetites for the upcoming RPG. One thing that these images have proven, with the awesome graphics and unique styling, is that the game will be worth waiting for.
