If fans of the British-American television drama series "Outlander" are a bit frustrated because of the listlessness of the previous episode "The Watch," then the episode 14 may offer some leniency to them as Starz recently released the promo for next week's episode "The Search." In the said episode, Jamie was captured by the Redcoats and is needed a saving from Claire and Jenny.
Going back in May 2's episode "The Watch," it was shown that Jenny (Laura Donnelly) gave birth to a child. Lead character Claire Randall/Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) also had an emotional outburst as she told Jamie that she isn't sure she can bear children after trying and failing with Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies). But the episode's highlight and the scene that has made it not so inert is when Jamie Fraser, portrayed by Sam Heughan, was seized by the Redcoats who've been hunting him for years.
That is quite a predicament in next week's episode as "The Search" reveals Claire in a quest to find her husband. Alas, that will not be an easy task as she can't still map out the land and its custom. Then there's the entire British army and Black Jack Randall/Frank Randall. Although, CarterMatt reports that Frank Randall will not be appearing in this episode. It could still be on season 2 that Claire's other husband will appear on the show.
However, Claire seeks Jenny's help to save Jamie with another of their cohort Murtagh Fraser (Duncan Lacroix), who is apparently Jamie's godfather. The official summary reads "Claire and Jenny set out to rescue Jamie from his redcoat captors; unorthodox tactics are used to send word to Jamie."
"Outlander" Gearing Up For Season Two, New Cast Will Be Added
Moreover, the filming for the season 2 of the TV show has already begun, told International Business Times. It has also been reported that the next season will be filmed on new locations in Scotland and France.
Meanwhile, actor Sam Heughan who plays Jamie, wrote on Twitter last April 20: "Back in @Outlander_Starz world!!!! #upgrades #newClock #newCast #newStudios." The tweet was also accompanied by an image of a clock, which more or less suggests the time in their filming location.
Starz's "Outlander" season two will premiere in the spring 2016 and the filming is expected to last for about nine months. New cast will surely be an addition to the drama series but the producers haven't yet announced some potential names. To make fans more excited, Hypable reports that the new characters will finally be seen in costume and a taste of footage will be revealed at this year's San Diego Comic-Con to be held on July 9 to 12.
Now, are you dreading for what's going to happen in next week's episode? Will Jamie be released from the arms of the Redcoats? Are you excited for the new season? Make sure not to miss "Outlander" as it airs every Saturday at 9pm EST on Starz!
