Destiny Patch 1.2 rolls out shortly ahead of House of Wolves DLC release slated to hit Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, and PS3 on May 19 bringing in Legendary Items, new bug fixes, 3 new maps and more, Bungie announced.
According to iDigital Times, this latest reveal from Bungie confirms that there's a major update coming to Destiny before House of Wolves DLC heads to PSN and Xbox Live this month.
Changes and improvements expected from the Destiny 1.2 patch are new bug fixes, double the Reputation and Mark payouts for Crucible matches including the addition of Etheric Light to the Iron Banner loot tables. Also, Legendary items become potential rewards for all post-match Crucible drops.
These new rewards give out ongoing incentive for players to take part in Crucible matches instead of avoiding PvP activities during the half of the week when the Trials of Osiris aren't available. The Etheric Light, in particular, affords gamers mass incentives for House of Wolves buyers to try out non-DLC PvP content from time to time.
For gamers who don't like to shell out some dollars on post-launch content can get excited with the release of Destiny Patch 1.2. In a blog post, it is announced that the three new maps introduced in first expansion, The Dark Below, will become part of the standard multiplayer map rotation. This is a great freebie to enjoy for those who haven't had done their battles on The Cauldron, Pantheon or Skyshock and ultimately grab the chance to do so.
Destiny House of Wolves DLC is heading to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on May 19 while the Destiny Patch 1.2 is anticipated to reach PlayStation Network and Xbox Live shortly ahead the release of the long-awaited debut of the second expansion.
