When it comes to Mass Effect 4, any bit of update about the game would be worth making a fuss of. The game was mildly introduced in E3 2014, and fans have been craving for more information ever since.
This is why when Mike Gamble, the producer of Mass Effect, posted a particular image on Twitter, a lot of gamers laid their speculations. Particularly, this made them speculate that more of the game will be revealed in the coming E3 2015 this June.
The photo was described in Express UK as a 'large light horizon in space', which appeared like a screenshot or logo from the Bioware title. Fans did not hesitate to share their feelings and excitement, just as one said, "Not gonna lie, this picture hyped me up something fierce. #masseffect"
Unfortunately for them, the thrill was cut short when Gamble hit them with the truth when he commented, "By the way... that's a real picture taken by a NASA astronaut. I think it's pretty fantastic." Apparently, the Mass Effect boss' tease worked very well.
The said website mentioned that a survey was shown on Reddit, where the game developer was soliciting opinions on different features of the game. However, this has not yet been confirmed as to whether the survey was really for Mass Effect 4 production.
Nonetheless, the report adds that the title will be set in the Helius Cluster, followed by the description, "far removed by time and space from Commander Shepard's heroic acts and the final events of the Mass Effect Trilogy."
All this reflects how little is still known about Mass Effect 4, which is simply its tentative title until further details are gathered. Moreover, its inclusion in the coming E3 is not yet confirmed. If ever, it will surely give players the satisfaction they need to learn more about the game; they might also find out the possibility of a late 2015 release as opposed to the more likely "some time in 2016."
