Sony had officially launched the Sony Xperia Z4 in Japan last month. And initially, the Xperia Z, considerably thinner compared to Z3, was set for release only in Japan and Sony was not able to give any statements regarding the global release date or price of the said device. But recent reports would claim that Sony will be launching an international version of the flagship Sony Xperia Z4 with the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

At the unveiling of the Xperia Z4 last month, Sony had revealed to the public its latest flagship smart phone as well as the details of the smart phone in the nation's website. Given the unveiling was done at the home country of Sony, there had been many whispers regarding the device made only for Japan. But recent reports would confirm that Sony intends to release the device internationally starting this month under the name Z3+.

Recent reports also claimed that the Sony Xperia Z4 will be running on the same OS as that of the other members of its family. It was indicated that the Xperia Z1 will be the first to have the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, to be followed by the Z2 and the Z3. The Xperia Z4 with the Android 5.1 will have an improved device protection, more accessible options, and longer battery life.

The Sony Xperia Z4/Xperia Z3+ will sport 6.9 mm thin 5.2 inch full HD Display (similar to its predecessor) with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The potential flagship smart phone by Sony is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip with Adreno 430 graphics. The device will be paired with a 3 GB RAM and 20.7 mp main and 5 mp front camera.

The smart phone will comes with a 32 GB and 64 GB storage options, expandable up to 128 GB (via microSD) with 2930 mAh battery. As for its design, it would appear almost exactly like the Xperia Z3. However, the Xperia Z4 will be splash resistant and can survive being submerged under water making the device more durable and high-end.

Selected countries are releasing the Sony Xperia Z4 with an out of the box Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Slowly, Sony will be distributing their thinner display flagship smart phone internationally and will cost up to £762.
