While the episode 21 of the television series "The Flash" is still yet to air on May 5, the promo stills and the official synopsis of the episode 22 entitled "Rogue Air" have already been revealed by The CW and Warner Bros. Television. The episode gets gripping as Barry Allen/Flash must team up with his rival Captain Cold in pursuit to take down villainous speedster Reverse Flash also known as Harrison Wells. However, things will get into turmoil.

Before dishing out the happenings in the "Rogue Air," let's go back to the upcoming episode to air on May 5 entitled "Grodd Lives." Apparently, it will give viewers more information about Dr. Harrison Wells' friend and the famous DC supervillain Gorilla Grodd, who was first seen in the episode five dubbed "Plastique."

Reverse Flash/ Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) will also be bringing war to Barry (Grant Gustin). According to the official synopsis of the "Grodd Lives," Dr. Wells' secret weapon against Barry will be Gorilla Grodd (David Sobolov). So this May 5's episode will be all about the beginnings of the stand off between The Flash and Reverse Flash, and the destruction to be brought by the Grodd.

Meanwhile, down to the second to the last episode of "The Flash" labeled "Rogue Air," Barry Allen must unite with his roguish rival, Captain Cold, to take down the Reverse Flash. But something drastic is going to happen. Cold's involvement to help Flash will the send Central City into a state of chaos. However, as things seem to be looking at the eye of doom, Flash will call upon his fellow superheroes The Arrow and Firestorm to help.

And that's when "The Arrow" actors Stephen Amell as The Arrow himself and Robbie Amell as Firestorm will join the superhero and supervillain showdown. Since "The Flash" is a spin-off from "The Arrow," fans of both TV shows will surely get the special treatment.

The episode is written by Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing and is directed by Doug Aarniokoski. The official synopsis reads: "As Wells (Tom Cavanagh) once again gets the upper hand on the S.T.A.R. Labs team, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes he needs to make a big move and reaches out to an old foe, Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller), for help. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) warn Barry that Cold can't be trusted. True to form, Cold has his own agenda that involves the meta-humans trapped in the containment cells. As things seem to be going from bad to worse, The Flash gets reinforcements - Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) and Firestorm (guest star Robbie Amell)."

Very well, since it is down to last three episodes for season one, make sure not to miss it. Are you excited for Stephen and Robbie Amell's guest appearance in "The Flash"? What do you think will happen to The Flash-Reverse Flash standoff? "Rogue Air" premieres on May 12 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.
