'Jessica Jones' Trailer, Updates: First look at new Netflix series this fall? Daredevil cameos possible

By

AKA Jessica Jones is going to drive Marvel fans crazy this fall. Daredevil already garnered rave reviews and a legion of fans proclaiming it the greatest superhero show on TV (what do you think- is that an exaggeration?). And while Daredevil's second season is set to debut in 2016, Jessica Jones will show up in the same world.

There's been little promotional material for Jessica Jones so far- the only image seen is the show's logo, caught on Netflix (and seen above). The image seemingly says that the show will premiere in 2015, which is the same date that's been released by Marvel. There's nothing more official than that right now, however, so the release date could still change.

So when will we see the first Jessica Jones trailer? When looking at Daredevil, the first major trailer debuted only a month before the show premiered- other than that, there was very little in the way of marketing (a few images of Charlie Cox in an early costume circulated online after last year's Comic-Con, and little else). At this summer's Comic-Con, we may get a better glimpse at Jessica Jones, but the first trailer may not be for a while.

The Netflix series will feature Krysten Ritter as Marvel hero Jessica Jones, a woman with super-strength and the ability to fly. As seen in Brian Michael Bendis's comic Alias, Jessica Jones attempts to become a superhero but can't cut it with the Avengers and suffers a traumatic experience at the hands of the villain Kilgrave and becomes a superpowered private detective.

Jessica Jones will join with Netflix heroes Luke Cage, Power Man and Iron Fist for the Netflix series The Defenders, and the group has also been rumored to join the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War films- the two-part Marvel movie epic set to hit theaters in 2018 and 2019.

Again, there's no set release date in place for Jessica Jones. But keep an eye out for the show on Netflix later in 2015.
