As the release date of Disney Infinity 3.0 is fast approaching, Disney is getting busy letting loose information about the upcoming game. It has been confirmed that Star Wars will be a big part of the third installment of Infinity and it couldn't be stressed more by the recent release of trailers. The trailers show us what to expect in the upcoming games, including characters, plus a few teasers on who else we can expect to join Disney Infinity 3.0.
In the recently released announcement trailer, Disney Infinity 3.0 couldn't be more serious when they announced the arrival of Star Wars playsets. We see all the familiar characters being shown, encompassing all (almost) the generations of Star Wars characters from Anakin Skywalker to Han Solo. This solidifies the confirmed information regarding the playsets, and we also get a glimpse of what the gameplay will be like, the animation, as well as the "feel" of the game. Although the characters to expect have already been confirmed (at least for the Star Wars set), they're all not that clear yet.
The trailer does give us a little bit of a teaser regarding who else will be joining Disney Infinity 3.0, just to whet the fan's appetite and enough to peak our curiosity. We see at the end of the trailer two figures coming down from a spaceship (Quorra? Sam Flynn?) as the current assortment of characters from Infinity and Infinity 2.0 stand ready to defend or fight. And then we see Olaf trying to hug a Star Wars drone.
The Disney Infinity 3.0 trailer is still pretty much an introduction, but bets are on that there will be more trailers in the weeks to come. The trailer was all about Star Wars, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mulan, and even the guys from Inside Out, although confirmed, are still nowhere to be found. I'd expect more trailers that will showcase these characters in the coming weeks.
Stay tuned for more Infinity news as we keep watching out for information from Disney. As of now, it is announced that the Disney Infinity 3,0 Edition Starter Pack will hit shelves by fall and will sell at a suggested retail price of $64.99.
