Star Wars: Battlefront to feature playable Boba Fett and Darth Vader, but will no longer have iron sights

Star Wars: Battlefront seems to be rounding into shape quite nicely, and the addition of both Boba Fett and Darth Vader as playable characters should help the game become more popular among fans of the franchise. The new activation system required for both of the iconic characters was also revealed.

A power up system is what players will need to use in order to activate each of the heroes. Both Boba Fett and Darth Vader will only be playable for one life, according to Express UK. As for how players may come across the power-ups, this detail unfortunately remains unknown. It could be something players receive as part of an in-game achievement they have completed or maybe even just as a random enemy drop.

Both Boba Fett and Darth Vader will be more powerful and possess special skills differentiating from other characters, so it should be a lot of fun to use them in-game. News of the two playable additions to Star Wars: Battlefront is not all that fans are talking about when it comes to the upcoming title.

A major change is also coming to the gameplay mechanics of Star Wars: Battlefront, this time coming in the form of iron sights being removed from it altogether, according to PC Gamer. Iron sights are those little helpers that enable players to hit their targets more accurately, so removing them would make the game just a bit more difficult.

The most the game has to offer in the way of a shooting aid are some scopes found on rifles, but for everything else, players will just have to get used to the new system. The iron sights being absent from the game is no accident either, as it is part of the game developer's efforts to differntiate their creation from the myriad of shooters currently available, according to Gamespot.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be released on November 17 for the PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.
