Features such as the Rockstar Editor and the radio station known as The Lab which were at one point only present in the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V are now also being developed for the current-gen console versions of the game.
Rockstar first announced news of the features coming to the consoles as part of a question & answer session they had with fans of the game.
First of the planned additions, known as the Rockstar Editor, is the video editing tools players have used to custom-make their own often hilarious videos pulled straight from the game. Currently, the plan seems to only include adding the Rockstar Editor to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
"The Rockstar Editor is an advanced tool requiring additional processing power so it would not be compatible with GTA V on the older systems, but we are currently working on a version tailored for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles--and we hope to release that sometime this summer, or as soon as it is ready," said Rockstar.
Rockstar cannot just simply copy the Rockstar Editor on the PC version however, so it may take a few months before this feature makes its way to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, according to Gamespot.
The Lab is also coming to the consoles, and it seems this addition will be available even to the older ones.
The new version of The Lab coming to the consoles is going to feature more music, but unfortunately, it will not be capable of supporting custom soundtracks, according to Xbox Achievements.
Lastly, Rockstar has made its stance clearer on single player mods for the PC version of the game, saying that the recent updates which broke the mods did so unintentionally.
Rockstar has indicated that they are fully supportive of the modding community, but that they will still remain vigilant to catch any modders who are changing the game to gain an unfair advantage, according to Polygon.
The gaming company has also changed its policy as it relates to copyrighted material to further crack down on players who are posting videos online with the intent of spreading cheating mods.
